It is extremely dry meaning that there is no alcohol to be purchased within atleast an hour drive of town so make sure you come well stocked if that's your thing. We provide the towels, coffee filters, and toilet paper. You provide the good times! There is also a full size washer and dryer in the bedroom that you are more than welcome to use while you are there. Plenty of parking for vehicles and trailers and the cabin is located only about a mile from the Wolfpen Gap trailhead which offers miles and miles of some of the most scenic riding anywhere. Great place to get a little mud on the tires! Don't forget to hike around the woods while you're out there as well! Come in the springtime to witness the blooming of all of the dogwood trees. It's gorgeous!

The Rose Cottage is located on paved roads and is about 4 miles from the city of Mena yet sits on property that borders the US National Forest. You can ride into the Wolf Pen Gap ATV trail system from our cottage location. The Rose Cottage has a fire pit, a wrap around porch, fully equipped kitchen and utility room, wonderful views of the Ouachita Mountains, a queen sleeper sofa and an inflatable bed as well to add extra sleeping space. There is a world of outdoor activities nearby and in the general area - hiking, ATV riding/rentals, state parks, rivers, lakes, creeks and the list goes on and on.

This wonderful cabin is your private retreat in the woods, yet just 2 miles on pavement to Mena, AR. It features a fully equipped kitchen with pans, utensils, dishes, paper goods, linens. Large Jacuzzi bath with complimentary shampoo, conditioner, body wash. and a separate shower. Cozy fireplace in living area with dvd, vcr, and large collection of movies! There is a 4-season heated and cooled sun-porch with views of the wooded hillside. In back is a private deck, with flowers, bird feeders, and lots of wooded hillside. Privacy and peace and quiet!. The cabin sits on several wooded acres, near the border of the Forest Service, and only about 150 ft. from the County Road 402, which is a picturesque way to ride into the National Forest and to Wolfpen Gap, one of the largest trail parks in the state. We are just 5 minutes from the charming county seat town of Mena, with its nice art district, good antique shops, good restaurants, and old-timey downtown with the original buildings from the time the railroads were built and the town was born. Yet we do have a 24/7 Walmart, a live theater, movie theater, and lots of festivals. The open concept living room's focal point is a cozy fireplace (it’s gas, an easy way to take the chill off on cool evenings as well as contribute to the cozy ambiance). There is a queen-size canopy bed downstairs as well as two singles upstairs. With the leather sofa (not sofa-bed) in the living area and another sofa on the sun-porch, there is room for up to six people to stay—and 2 children under 12 stay free. We have a Pack-n-play if a baby is a guest too! There is a flat screen TV (no cable) with DVD and vintage VCR with a large selection of movies! Of course, there is Internet access too, and a desk with comfortable office chair to do work if you need to. The charming “Little House on the Prairie” country kitchen has a view of the living area so whoever is doing food prep can be part of the group.. And, the kitchen is equipped with full-size refrigerator, cooktop, microwave, convection oven, coffeemaker, toaster, dishes, pots and pans. We also stock basic staples such as coffee, sugar, tea, salt and pepper. The local water here is so good you will not need bottled water, and has been tested periodically for safety. The quiet, paved county road 42 is good for hiking, biking, or just a leisurely stroll after supper to enjoy nature. The beautiful Bethesda Lake is just a few feet up the road and is as beautiful as a park as you walk by. If you like wildlife watching, just sit outside on your deck (or simply look out any window from your sun-porch) in the morning or maybe at sunset and don't be surprised if you see squirrels and birds watching you. We will keep a supply of feed available to give them a treat. The wooden rocker on the deck is close to the hummingbird feeder, and if you catch it just right, a beam of sunlight filters down between the forest trees and strikes the feeder and illuminates the hummers. You can ride your ATV from the cabin through the Ouachita National Forest about 7 miles to the WolfPen Gap trails; or trailer ATV and take highway to the Wolfpen Gap trails. This is the perfect get away for family and friends. Fitted with a kitchenette for light meals, including pots, pans, cookware, coffee pot, etc. The sleeping area has a soft comfortable king sized bed with a full sized bed that pulls out from underneath. Hulu TV has all of the essential channels needed for a great evening inside or find yourself outside underneath the stars warming up next to a toasty campfire on the deck. With the Ouachita Mountains in the distance, it doesn’t get any better! Small Charcoal grill provided for outdoor cooking. Beautiful sunsets to be seen! Located in Hatfield within ATV driving distance of Wolf Pen Gap and other national forest trails. Very peaceful place and surroundings.
